These terms govern your use of Overtitle, a macOS application ("the App") sold by its independent developer ("we"). By purchasing or using the App you agree to these terms.
Overtitle displays subtitle files that you provide as a floating overlay window, synchronized with video playback on your Mac. The App does not decrypt, capture, record, or modify any video stream, and it does not supply, host, or download subtitle content.
A standard purchase grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the App on up to 2 Macs that you own or control, including all updates released within 12 months of purchase. The App keeps working after that period; further updates are optional. A Lifetime purchase includes all future updates. Licenses are for personal use and may not be resold or shared publicly.
The free trial includes 3 hours of viewing time with full functionality. Circumventing trial or license mechanisms is prohibited.
You are responsible for the subtitle files you load and for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction and the terms of the streaming services you use. The App is a display tool; it grants no rights to any third-party content.
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, who handles billing, taxes, and receipts. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. macOS updates or changes to third-party video applications may affect functionality; we work to restore compatibility but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
